DEA Takeback Day in Montgomery County Saturday, October 29
Provided by MCMS AdministrationThe opioid epidemic continues in Montgomery County with almost 250 overdose deaths so far this year. Providers have an important role to play in preventing medication misuse and addiction before it begins by promoting the safe use and disposal of medications.
The Montgomery County Prevention Coalition, the Community Overdose Action Team, Public Health, local police departments, and Krogers are partnering together this DEA Takeback Day, which is Saturday, October 29, from 10 am – 2 pm. The link on the flier below will take individuals to a website where they can find locations throughout the county to safely dispose of unused, unneeded medications. The PDF flier is great for printing and hanging in waiting rooms or exam rooms.
Thank you for helping keep our community safe!
